The other day I was going over my finances and decided that I need to do something on the side to make some more money. I work full time now, but it just isn’t enough to keep up with the rent, student loans and other bills that I have to pay each month. While I was trying to determine what I could do as some sort of side venture to make some extra money, it occurred to me that I’m actually a pretty creative person and maybe I could use my creativity to help pay the rent.

They had iron on options that I could order small quantities of, which sounded like a great way to start my own side business for very little money. I had dabbled in custom patch design a little bit for a group I was a member of in college, but I definitely didn’t consider myself an expert.
I was pleasantly surprised at how simple it was to do some custom patch designs and order small batches while I built up my clientele. After awhile, I was ordering in larger volumes, which meant huge savings per custom patch, which increased my profit margin by quite a bit. I’m now doing custom patch design full time and I’m loving it!
