Breitling Watches for the Time Travelor

For the person who travels to different time zones, the Chronomat GMT Caliber 04 travel watch will tell both the time and the date in both the zone one lives in and their destination zone.
This latest creation from Breitling was launched at BaselWorld 2011, the new chronograph features

Breitling’s new 04 movement allowing for perfectly synchronized central hour hands.  The first hand is connected with the minute hand and travels over a 12 hour dial and the second.  The red tipped triangular hand points to the home time on the 24 hours graduated scale that is

partially covered by the inner bezel.

To adjust the 12 hour hand for local time the user simply pulls the crown out to the second position and turns it in either direction by the number of corresponding notches to the number of hours in the time difference.  The date is indexed to this hand and will automatically change as required either forward or backwards.  The red-tipped hand is always on home time on a 24 hour clock.

One can instantly adjust the time and date upon arrival at a new destination while maintaining a 24 hour display for the zone at home without losing any of the precision in the minutes.  The case is 47mm in diameter and is made from stainless steel with an AR coated sapphire crystal.  Superluminova coating is on the hour and minute hands and indices for easy reading both day and night.

The Breitiling Caliber 04 was entirely created and manufactured in-house, the Chronomat GMT offers smooth functional dual time zone capability.  Derived from the Breitling Caliber 01, the Caliber 04 features the same architecture and includes a column wheel, vertical coupling clutch for high-precision activation and a patented recentering device the zero-resetting hammers within.  This watch is so innovative a patent has been filed for the differential system.  As with all of the brand’s chronographs, this watch is certified by the COSC, Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute.

Made in Switzerland, the Chronomat GMT comes on a variety of straps to change up the look, included in the offerings are crocodile or Barenia leather for a classic look, rubber or stainless steel Pilot bracelet.  The dial is available in six colors and comes with either contrasting or tone-on-tone totalizers.   This model comes with 46 jewels and has a power reserve of over 70 hours.  It is water resistant to 500 meters or 1,650 feet and offers a uni-directional rotating bezel.  This beauty should hit the market just in time for summer, and you can surely find one at a great price at WatchesOnNet.com.
